HOW TO USE CORD ENDS FOR JEWELRY MAKING
Cord Ends are a great component used to secure the end of your necklace or bracelet designs!
There are a few different styles of cord ends to choose from - in this tutorial we show you how to use Fold-Over Cord Ends and Glue-In Cord Ends.
WHAT ARE CORD ENDS?
Cord ends are jewelry findings that provide a finished look to the ends of cords, ribbons, and leather by securely holding them in place.
They typically feature a U-shaped channel or coil with a loop to attach clasps or jump rings.
Cord ends are available in various styles and sizes to accommodate different types of cords, ensuring a strong and professional finish for bracelets and necklaces.

HOW TO USE FOLD-OVER CORD ENDS

Step 1
Place the cord inside the fold over cord end.
Squeeze the two sides around the cord; one side at the time.

Step 2
Squeeze using flat nose pliers.

Step 3
Attach a clasp to the hole on the fold-over cord end with a round jump ring.

Multiple strands of thinner cord can also be used with fold-over cord ends.
HOW TO USE GLUE-IN CORD ENDS

Apply a small blob of E6000 Glue to the inside of the end cap.
Insert the cord into the cord end with the glue.
Keep it in place until the glue has dried.

For multiple strands of thinner cord, gather the cords with masking tape.
Glue the cords together.

Squeeze the cord ends with flat nose pliers so that they fit inside the end cap before the glue on the cord ends have dried.

Apply a small amount of glue to the end cap.
Insert the bunch of cord ends into the end cap and glue.
Keep the cord ends in place until the glue has dried.
