Gemstone Beads, Tiger Eye, Natural, Free Form, Chip Strand, 6-8mm
Tiger Eye Gemstone Chips are an earthy look with subtle chatoyance.
Add these surprisingly versatile beads to boho styles, neutral natural looks, and modern gold finish designs. Tiger Eye Gemstones are known for their ever-shifting play of light caused by a chatoyant effect.
The effect is created when the quartz takes on a thread-like formation, usually in contrasting brown and gold tones. ;Chip beads are versatile design components and are great for multi-strand jewelry.
Chips range from mini to extra-large with an average size of medium.
Tiger Eye is especially common in South Africa, but can be found in various locations around the world.
Tiger Eye is a fibrous variety of chalcedony that exhibits a property called chatoyancy, which is an optical effect that produces vertical, shimmering bands.
Tiger Eye is a type of quartz, made up of silica. The chatoyancy of the stone is caused by altered amphibole (an inosilicate) fibers that have over time become limonite.
Tiger Eye is thought to benefit many chakras. This stone is often worn to foster courageous, yet grounded decision making and clarity.
